License export permit of Spirit and Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL)



There are no separate licences required to Export Spirit or IMFL, the dealer possessing manufacturing licence of spirits can only export Spirit and the dealer possessing manufacturing licence of IMFL can export IMFL.

Validity of approval 

Permission to Export Spirit or IMFL is granted by issuing export permits to the licence holder for a
period not exceeding 30 days.

Renewal/Extension 

There is no renewal of export permit however, extension of Export permit is granted twice by the
Commissioner of Excise upon application not more than 10 days, before and after the expiry of
export permit upon payment of fees applicable

The Submitted application is scrutinized by the
Dealing Hand and submitted to incharge of the Unit,
the Unit incharge then inspects the application
and issues challan for the payment of prescribed
fees. The incharge then submits the application
online to the Head office for further necessary action

The Dealing hand at Head office then further scrutinize
the application and forward to the concern superintendent
for verification. The superintendent after verification
submits the application to Assistant Commissioner for Approval
